Concrete Steps Resurfacing and Cast Iron Railings Installation in East Kildonan, Winnipeg, Manitoba

With this project in East Kildonan, Winnipeg, the steps were facing two problems. For one, due to decades old age wear and tear, parts of the concrete were cracking and spalling. Secondly, the bottom step was quite a lot shorter in height compared to the other steps which can cause a tripping hazard.

We took care of both problems. We chipped and removed the cracked and damaged concrete from the front steps, then installed rebar reinforcements, wood forming and completed the job by resurfacing all sides of the staircase with commercial grade, high strength reinforced, broom finished concrete. Once the steps were completed we then mounted quality black cast iron railings. The result: wider; providing more walking space for the mailman to delivery the daily mail, level, even heights (trip hazard free), strong, safe, durable and built to last.
